Job summary

SENse Learning in Guildford is seeking Education Mentors to provide one-to-one mentoring and learning support for young people with diverse needs. Responsibilities include building trust, delivering in-home sessions, and developing life skills through trauma-informed, student-centered activities.

The role offers flexible, self-employed opportunities with session times arranged with families or schools, and DBS checks supported upon hire.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience working with children or young people with complex needs (ASC, ADHD, SEMH, etc).
• Enhanced DBS and 2+ professional references preferred.
• UK right to work and safeguarding knowledge required.

Responsibilities

• Develop strong, positive relationships with children and young people.
• Provide one-to-one mentoring in homes and community settings.
• Support life skills, confidence and independence using flexible strategies.
