Job Description

We’re looking for a Customer Service Assistant to join our team at One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco. As a Customer Service Assistant, you will work in a fast-paced retail environment where no day is the same.

You will play an important role in the daily operations of our store by providing excellent customer service, stocking shelves, processing payments, and helping maintain the store’s appearance.

Since the customer is at the heart of everything we do, you will constantly seek ways to improve service through on-the-job coaching and feedback.

With your guidance, your store will always remain a safe place to work and shop.

Responsibilities

1. Serve customers with passion and pride, providing natural, great service.
2. Encourage customer feedback through the ‘have your say’ survey.
3. Work across various store areas including online, tills, replenishment, vending, and stock routines to meet customer needs.
4. Apply training to ensure safe working practices.
5. Participate in seasonal, community, and charity events to create an inclusive atmosphere.
6. Understand store performance and contribute to profit delivery.
7. Live our values, make everyone feel welcome, and follow policies.
8. Clock in and out accurately at the start and end of shifts.
9. Follow security procedures and wear safety equipment.
10. Adhere to the 'think 25' policy when serving age-restricted products.
11. Respond promptly to assistance calls, explaining actions to customers.
12. Maintain a clean, tidy, and organized store environment.
13. Potentially run shifts in the absence of supervisors.
14. Follow all training to ensure safety and legal compliance.
15. If applicable, operate the Post Office, including passing necessary background checks.
