Job Description

We’re looking for a Customer Service Assistant to join our team at One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco. As a Customer Service Assistant, you will work in a fast-paced retail environment where no day is the same.

You will play an important role in the day-to-day operations of our store activities by providing excellent customer service, stocking shelves, processing payments, and helping maintain the store’s appearance.

As the customer is at the heart of everything we do, you will constantly look for ways to improve service through on-the-job coaching and feedback.

With your guidance, your store will always remain a safe place to work and shop.

You will be Responsible For

• Serving customers with passion and pride, providing natural, excellent service.
• Encouraging customers to give feedback through the ‘have your say’ survey.
• Working across all store areas including online, tills, replenishment, vending, and stock routines to meet customer needs.
• Practicing all safety training to ensure safe working conditions.
• Participating in seasonal, community, and charity events to create an inclusive atmosphere.
• Understanding store performance, your role in it, and working together to deliver profit.
• Living our values, making everyone feel welcome, and following policies.
• Clocking in and out at shift start and end for accurate pay.
• Following security procedures and wearing safety equipment to keep everyone safe.
• Following the think 25 policy when serving age-restricted products.
• Responding promptly to assistance calls or interventions on self-service checkouts, explaining your actions to customers.
• Maintaining a clean, tidy, and organized store environment.
• Occasionally managing the shift in the absence of supervisors.
• Following all training to ensure safety and legality.
• If applicable, managing the Post Office Local operations, including passing necessary background checks.
