Job summary

Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 4 Patient Pathway Navigator in Oncology for a 12-month secondment at the Royal Free Hospital in Hampstead. The role focuses on coordinating patient pathways from referral to discharge, providing clear guidance to patients, and supporting a cohesive administrative team within a busy cancer service.

The post involves both clinical/admin responsibilities, typing, data entry, and liaison with clinicians.

Qualifications

• RSA 2 or RSA 3 word processing/typing or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• English and Maths at GCSE level or equivalent.
• Diploma level qualification or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient navigation services for the Oncology department.
• Support administrative duties within the team and MDTs.
• Communicate with patients and staff, ensuring timely data entry and records accuracy.
