Job summary

CarmichaelUK is seeking an Operations Lead to manage worker onboarding and mobilisation across UK projects, with a hybrid schedule in Thame. You will coordinate compliance, medical, security clearance and onboarding documentation, acting as the central contact for candidates, recruiters, labour managers, clients and providers.

The role requires meticulous attention to detail, excellent organisational and communication skills, and a proactive approach to resolving issues while ensuring a positive

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating onboarding, mobilisation or compliance in regulated/projects env.
• Understanding pre-employment screening and security vetting processes.
• Excellent attention to detail and thorough document checking.
• Strong organisational skills to manage multiple onboarding cases and deadlines.
• Confident communication to build relationships and follow up information.
• Ability to handle sensitive personal information with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating worker onboarding and mobilisation from offer to first day on site.
• Managing BPSS, DBS, Right to Work, identity verification and security clearance.
• Verifying references, employment history, qualifications and compliance.
• Issuing contracts, onboarding packs and project documentation.
• Coordinating medicals, inductions, training and site access requirements.
• Monitoring onboarding progress and tracking workforce readiness against start dates.
• Liaising with candidates, recruiters, labour managers, clients and vetting providers.
• Maintaining audit-ready records in onboarding/compliance systems.
• Providing progress updates and escalating delays or compliance risks.
