Job summary

Change Grow Live in Liverpool is seeking a Prison Team Leader to manage and develop a team delivering substance use and social care support within a prison setting. The role focuses on caseload allocation, coaching, and ensuring high-quality, person-centered services.

You will work with prison staff, healthcare providers and partner agencies to coordinate interventions, maintain records, and report on performance to drive improvements while upholding safeguarding and professional boundaries.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in leading or supervising a team within health, social care, criminal justice, or a related field.
• Strong skills in case management, risk assessment, and coordinating support plans for people with complex needs.
• Ability to build effective relationships with service users, colleagues, and partner agencies, using trauma-informed and non-judgmental approaches.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to manage challenging situations in a prison environment.
• Good organizational and time-management abilities, including accurate record keeping and reporting against service targets.
• Understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality, and professional boundaries within justice and social care settings.
• Relevant qualification in social care, criminal justice, psychology, counselling, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee delivery of support services within a prison setting.
• Lead and supervise a team working with people affected by substance use, housing issues, and justice involvement.
• Allocate caseloads, provide guidance and coaching to team members.
• Monitor service quality and ensure plans are person-centered and outcome-focused.
