Job summary

Change Grow Live is recruiting a Prison Group Facilitator to design and deliver evidence-based group programmes for individuals in HMP Liverpool, guiding them from contemplation to sustained recovery and aftercare. You will work with partners to address substance misuse and ensure support for release planning.

Role involves assessing risk, developing recovery plans, and delivering PSI group sessions in a secure environment, with training and DBS clearance provided. Fixed-term until 31 March 2027.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of substance misuse issues and experience in a similar field, ideally within prison/criminal justice.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with good IT skills.
• Knowledge and experience of delivering process-oriented group work.

Responsibilities

• Support people to identify the most appropriate group work session/programme from a range of options.
• Assess suitability for groups in terms of risk and special needs.
• Deliver a range of PSI group work to people who use the service.
• Provide support to people accessing the groups.
• Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with partners.
• Work with local and regional mutual aid groups and create opportunities to deliver within the prison.
• Support and guide the team to consider group-work as part of Recovery Planning.
• Prepare individual recovery plans and motivate people to engage with their treatment journey.
• Ensure the provision of recovery-focused interventions to service users.
