Job summary

EQUANS is looking for a Resident Mechanical Engineer in Macclesfield to support the Alderley Park contract on a permanent, full-time basis. The role operates 40 hours per week with a competitive salary and benefits package.

Responsibilities include reactive and planned maintenance, CAFM data handling, and ensuring safe working practices. You will liaise with the client and subcontractors, maintain quality standards, and contribute to continuous improvement across the site.

Qualifications

• Recognized mechanical qualifications are essential.
• Experience with fault-finding on building management and HVAC systems is required.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and safe working practices is essential.

Responsibilities

• Execute reactive tasks across sites and propose improvements.
• Provide parts lists and estimates to enable remedial works.
• Ensure CAFM (Planon) data is up to date and tickets closed.
• Prepare method statements and risk assessments for tasks.
• Maintain safe working environment and professional image of EQUANS.
• Support the contract management team and communicate with clients.
