Job summary

Sellick Partnership is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join a leading facilities management team in Macclesfield. You will be responsible for the maintenance, repair and fault‑finding of mechanical and electrical systems, ensuring all planned and reactive works are completed safely and to a high standard.

The role requires recognised mechanical and electrical qualifications, and experience with HVAC, pumps, motors, BMS and LTHW/LV systems.

Qualifications

• Recognised Mechanical Engineering qualifications.
• Electrical engineering qualification.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• Strong fault-finding experience with HVAC, pumps, motors, BMS, LTHW and LV systems.
• Good understanding of health & safety and safe systems of work.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance tasks.
• Diagnose and repair faults across mechanical, electrical and HVAC systems.
• Complete all relevant documentation and update CAFM systems accurately.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety procedures, risk assessments and permits to work.
• Maintain plant rooms and equipment to a high standard.
• Liaise professionally with clients, subcontractors and colleagues.
• Support operational continuity, including occasional out-of-hours call-out requirements where necessary.

Up to £41,200 + £100 monthly shift allowance
Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Shift Pattern

Week 1: 06:00 - 14:00
Week 2: 14:00 - 22:00
Week 3: 07:00 - 15:00

The Role

You will be responsible for the maintenance, repair and fault-finding of mechanical and electrical systems, ensuring all planned and reactive works are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities of the Mechanical Engineer will be:
