Job summary

Sellick Partnership is seeking a Mechanical Engineer in Macclesfield to maintain mechanical and electrical systems, handling planned and reactive works with a strong focus on safety and quality. The role requires diagnosing faults across HVAC, pumps, motors and BMS, with regular PPM tasks and documentation in CAFM systems.

Qualifications

• Recognised Mechanical Engineering qualifications.
• Electrical engineering qualification.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• Strong fault-finding experience with HVAC, pumps, motors, BMS, LTHW and LV systems.
• Good understanding of health & safety and safe systems of work.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance tasks.
• Diagnose and repair faults across mechanical, electrical and HVAC systems.
• Complete all relevant documentation and update CAFM systems accurately.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety procedures, risk assessments and permits to work.
• Maintain plant rooms and equipment to a high standard.
• Liaise professionally with clients, subcontractors and colleagues.
• Support operational continuity, including occasional out-of-hours call-out requirements where necessary.
