Job summary

New Appointments Group is seeking an IT Support Technician for a Folkestone-based role. You will maintain day-to-day IT systems, support colleagues, and ensure smooth operation of internal software and hardware.

Responsibilities include provisioning new users, troubleshooting issues, documenting systems, and generating reports from SQL. You will develop and implement lightweight solutions using C# and .NET where appropriate.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of MS Office, 365, Active Directory and Windows 10/11 is required.
• Strong problem solving and attention to detail.
• Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• IT Support - software/windows installation and troubleshooting.
• Network management incl. cabling, firewalls, VLANs and routing/wireless.
• Server management - VMware and Windows virtualization.
• Programming - C#, .NET, ASP WebForms/WinForms.
• Database - SQL Server, data interrogation and reporting.
• Ticketing systems experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform IT admin tasks on clients, servers and infrastructure.
• Commission new users, including their computers and setup.
• Troubleshoot issues with end users and infrastructure components.
• Participate in research and development of new systems.
• Generate documentation for existing and new systems across the company.
• Provide support for end users across the business.
• Assess issues and implement corrections.
• Recommend purchases to enhance IT department and business.
• Develop and implement solutions using C# and .NET.
• Produce reports from SQL.
