Job summary

New Appointments Group is seeking a System Support Engineer to maintain and support the company’s IT systems from its Folkestone area location. The role emphasizes day-to-day IT support, onboarding new users, and ensuring colleagues can operate systems smoothly.

You will work on admin tasks, troubleshooting, and documenting systems, with opportunities to contribute to R&D and system enhancements using C# and .NET, plus SQL reporting.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of MS Office, 365, Active Directory and Windows 10/11.
• Strong attention to detail and problem solving.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Desirable: IT Support - Software/Windows installation and troubleshooting; Network Management - cabling, firewalls, VLANS and routing; Server Management - VMware, Windows and virtualization; Programming - C#, .NET; Database - SQL Server; Job Management - ticketing systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform IT admin tasks on clients, servers and infrastructure.
• Commission new users, including their computers and getting them set up.
• Troubleshooting issues with end users and infrastructure components.
• Participate in the research and development of new systems.
• Generate documentation for existing and new systems across the company.
• Provide support for end users across the business.
• Assess issues and proactively suggest and implement corrections.
• Develop and implement solutions, using C# and .NET.
• Produce reports from SQL.
