Job summary

Drax Group is seeking a Production & Stores Assistant at Glenlee Power Station with travel to other sites. The role involves supporting operations to run the hydro-electric plant safely, performing routine tasks, inspections, testing and preventive maintenance, and managing day-to-day stores activities.

You will handle deliveries, stock control, purchasing and audits, while keeping high housekeeping standards across sites.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in an industrial, engineering, construction or technical environment.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and follow processes.
• Experience of stores operations and stock control would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Operate, inspect and test hydro plant and emergency systems following procedures.
• Inspect stations and remote sites, record data and support investigations.
• Run site stores: deliveries, stock checks, quotes, purchasing and audits.
• Maintain high housekeeping across power stations and sites; carry out minor works.
• Support mechanical, electrical and civil teams and supervise contractors when required.
