Job summary

Dalkia is seeking an Industrial Assistant Supervisor at Torness Power Station. The role focuses on supporting the Supervisor in coordinating industrial operatives, ensuring safe, efficient work and high standards of cleanliness and compliance.

You will lead a team, manage daily workloads, participate in risk assessments and RAMS, and drive continuous improvement while maintaining a strong safety culture across the site.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an industrial environment.
• Experience in industrial cleaning desirable.
• Strong communication, leadership and people skills.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety requirements.
• Confidence working with colleagues, management and client representatives.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team while delivering high standards.

Responsibilities

• Support the Supervisor with day-to-day coordination and management of industrial operatives.
• Lead, motivate and support team members to ensure work is completed safely and to standard.
• Assist with planning and allocating daily workloads.
• Oversee industrial cleaning activities across the station, including pumps, tanks and general site cleanliness.
• Assist with preparation and review of risk assessments and RAMS.
• Carry out workplace inspections, audits and compliance checks.
• Deliver toolbox talks, briefings and safety communications.
• Ensure all work complies with company, site and H&S requirements.
• Monitor standards of work, housekeeping and safe practices; escalate as needed.
• Identify and support opportunities for continuous improvement across the station.
• Promote a positive safety culture and lead by example.
