Job summary

Drax Group is seeking a Production & Stores Assistant at Glenlee Power Station with travel to other sites. This full-time, on-site role supports the Operations team to run the hydro-electric plant, perform inspections, maintenance and manage day-to-day stores activities.

You'll bring hands-on industrial experience, safety focus, and a full UK driving licence. Relocation within 30 miles may be required; standby, weekend and call-out rotas apply after training.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in an industrial, engineering, construction or technical environment.
• Good computer literacy and ability to maintain accurate records and follow processes.
• Experience of stores operations and stock control would be advantageous.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to relocate within 30 miles / 45-minute drive of main site.

Responsibilities

• Operate, inspect and test hydro plant and safety systems per procedures.
• Record operating data, report faults and support investigations into defects.
• Run site stores: deliveries, stock checks, audits and quotes.
• Maintain housekeeping across sites and undertake minor works.
• Support mechanical, electrical and civil teams and supervise contractors when required.
