Job summary

Gearing Recruitment Solutions Ltd is seeking an Electrical Storeman to join a major industrial engineering project on a live water treatment site. The role focuses on managing the site stores, stock levels and distribution of electrical materials.

You will receive, check and book in deliveries, issue materials to site operatives, carry out stock takes and ensure compliance with health and safety requirements, liaising with management and procurement as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Storeman or similar on construction/industrial projects.
• Experience handling electrical materials and equipment.
• Background in water utilities, industrial engineering, power generation or process plant is desirable.
• Good organisational and communication skills.
• Competent with stock control systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage the site stores and maintain stock levels.
• Receive, check and book in deliveries.
• Issue electrical materials, tools and consumables to site operatives.
• Organise and store electrical equipment, containment, cable and plant.
• Liaise with site management and procurement teams regarding material requirements.
• Carry out stock takes and maintain inventory records.
• Ensure deliveries are checked for quality and quantity.
• Keep the stores clean, organised and compliant with site health and safety requirements.
• Coordinate returns, damaged materials and supplier collections.
• Assist with general site logistics where required.
