Job summary

Trane Technologies in the United Kingdom is seeking a field-based Service Technician to provide on-site support at customer locations. You will diagnose system problems, perform Planned Preventive Maintenance, and build trusted relationships with customers while following blueprints and specifications.

You will collaborate with service desk, sales and operations, report on completed work orders, and use diagnostic software and MS Office tools.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in service or field-based technician role.
• Strong knowledge of customer service principles.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to motivate technicians.
• Effective communication skills.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in using Apps, diagnostic software, and MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose system problems when servicing products and equipment on assigned projects and customer site visits.
• Attend customer sites for Planned Preventative Maintenance, breakdowns, warranty work and commissioning.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers as a trusted point of contact.
• Collaborate with service desk, sales and operations to share key customer insights.
• Use cutting edge software and tools, following blueprints or specs to diagnose and repair units.
• Generate regular reports on completed invoiced work orders.
• Foster strong customer relationships through exceptional service.
• Communicate with supervisors, regional service managers, and customers to drive improvements.
