Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a Field-Based Service Technician to deliver on-site maintenance and technical support at customer locations. You will diagnose system problems, perform preventative maintenance, and respond to break downs under service contracts.

Build strong customer relationships and work closely with service desks, sales and operations to improve service efficiency. The role requires experience in field service, strong communication, and proficiency with diagnostic tools and MS

Qualifications

• Proven experience in service or field-based technician role.
• Strong knowledge of customer service principles.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to motivate technicians.
• Effective communication skills in a team setting.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in using apps, diagnostic software, and MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose system problems during servicing on-site and on assigned projects.
• Attend customer sites for Planned Preventative Maintenance, breakdowns, warranty work, hire and commissioning.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers as a trusted contact.
• Collaborate with Service desk, Sales and Operations to share key insights.
• Generate regular reports on completed invoiced work orders.
• Communicate updates to supervisors, regions service managers and senior technicians to drive improvements.
