Job summary

Trane Technologies in the United Kingdom is seeking a Service Technician – Unitary to deliver exceptional on-site service across the UK. You will diagnose, maintain and repair rooftop and packaged units, travelling to customer sites under our maintenance contracts.

This national role emphasizes strong customer service, teamwork with service desk and operations, and the use of diagnostic software and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a service or field-based technician role.
• Strong knowledge of customer service principles.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and cover standby/callouts.
• UK driving license and right to work in the UK.
• Category 1 (I) F-Gas C&G 2079 Level 2 certification and hold COCN1, CIGA1 & ICPN1.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose system problems when servicing products and equipment on site.
• Attend sites for Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), customer breakdowns, warranty work, hire and commissioning; national travel and on-call rota.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers, acting as a trusted contact.
• Collaborate with the Service desk, Sales, and Operations Team to share key customer insights.
• Use cutting edge software and technology, along with hand-tools, to diagnose and repair units.
• Reporting and Analysis: Generate regular reports on completed invoiced work orders.
• Customer Relationship Management: Foster strong relationships with customers through exceptional service.
