Job summary

Trane Technologies in the United Kingdom is seeking a Service Technician – Unitary to deliver outstanding customer service and technical support across the UK as a national role with travel.

You will diagnose system problems, perform PPM and breakdown work on customer sites, build trusted relationships, and collaborate with service, sales and operations teams to improve processes while using diagnostic software and hand-tools to service rooftop units.

Qualifications

• Category 1 (I) F-Gas CG 2079 Level 2 certification and hold COCN1, CIGA1 & ICPN1.
• Light Commercial knowledge mainly within the Retail sector with first-fix experience and handling of multiple callouts or jobs with a minimum travel time of 2 hours (up to 4 hours) in a single shift.
• Knowledge of the manufacturing industry at an intermediate to advanced level with proven experience working on Packaged Rooftops.
• Knowledge of building management systems and rooftop units; capable of adapting outputs to weather and environments.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose system problems when servicing products and equipment on assigned projects and customer site visits.
• Attend customer sites to carry out work for Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), Customer Breakdowns, Warranty work, Hire and Commissioning workloads; national travel with overnight stays and on-call rotations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers; act as a trusted point of contact.
• Collaborate with Service desk, Sales and Operations Team to share key customer insights.
• Use diagnostic software and hand-tools to diagnose and repair units; follow blueprints or engineering specs.
• Generate regular reports on completed invoiced work orders.
• Communicate updates with supervisors and customers to drive continuous improvement.
