Places Developments in Basildon is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Site Manager to support the successful delivery of our residential development. Working closely with the Site Manager and project team, you will coordinate day-to-day site activity, ensuring work progresses safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

This hands-on role offers the opportunity to develop your site management experience while contributing to homes that customers can be proud of.

Qualifications

• CSCS supervisor accreditation required.
• SMSTS qualification required.
• First Aid certificate required.
• Scaffold Inspection qualification required.
• NHBC standards and building control knowledge beneficial.
• Previous experience in housebuilding or residential construction.
• Full, clean UK driving licence.
• Excellent IT and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the Site Manager with day-to-day management of construction activity, delivering on programme, budget and quality.
• Promote safe working practices and maintain a positive site culture.
• Monitor quality and Build Stage Inspection processes.
• Carry out health and safety inductions for contractors and visitors.
• Plan and coordinate work packages and logistics to minimise risks.
• Work with contractors, suppliers, NHBC and stakeholders to keep activity progressing and deadlines.
• Depute for Site Manager when required and maintain site management and discipline.
• Liaise with homeowners and coordinate snagging completion.
