Job summary

Places for People is recruiting a Porter to join the on-site team in London. The role supports day-to-day site security, assists residents and visitors, and collaborates with the House Manager and cleaning teams to keep the development safe and welcoming.

The position offers a visible, service-focused role with a 4-hour daily rota (Mon-Fri, 8.30am–12.30pm) and opportunities to contribute to a positive customer experience. DBS checks may apply as part of safeguarding procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience in building services such as concierge or caretaking.
• First Aid qualification (Emergency First Aid) is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day site security and monitor access as required.
• Assist with health and safety compliance checks across the development.
• Be a visible presence on site and assist residents and visitors as needed.
• Support the on-site cleaning team with additional tasks as directed.
• Work closely with the operations team to share information accurately.
• Respond to incidents or emergencies in line with procedures.
• Contribute to a positive, professional customer experience across the development.
• Provide information to the Property Manager daily.
