Job summary

Places for People is recruiting a part-time Porter to join the on-site team in London. You will help keep the development safe, well-presented, and welcoming for residents and visitors, support site security, perform health and safety checks, and assist residents as needed.

The role involves working 4 hours per day, Monday to Friday, with a visible presence on site and collaboration with the House Manager, cleaning teams, and operations colleagues to ensure smooth daily running.

Qualifications

• Essential: Experience in building services such as concierge or caretaking.
• Essential: Emergency First Aid qualification (or willingness to obtain).
• Desirable: Experience in a customer-facing, on-site role.
• Desirable: Ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
• Desirable: Clear and confident communication skills.
• Desirable: Basic working knowledge of IT systems.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day site security and monitor access.
• Assist with health and safety compliance checks across the development.
• Be a visible presence on site and assist residents and visitors as needed.
• Support on-site cleaning team with additional tasks as directed.
• Work with operations to ensure accurate information sharing.
