Job summary

Places for People are recruiting a Porter to join our on-site team in London. The role runs 4 hours per day, Monday to Friday, helping keep the development safe, tidy and welcoming for residents and visitors.

You will support site security, health and safety checks, and work closely with House Manager and operations teams to ensure smooth day-to-day running. A customer-focused approach is essential, with flexibility to assist as required.

Qualifications

• Experience in building services such as concierge or caretaking.
• Emergency First Aid qualification (or willingness to obtain).
• Customer-facing on-site experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day site security and monitor access as required.
• Assist with health and safety compliance checks across the development.
• Be a visible presence on site and assist residents and visitors when needed.
• Support the on-site cleaning team with additional tasks as directed.
• Work closely with the operations team to ensure accurate information sharing.
• Respond to incidents or emergencies in line with procedures.
• Contribute to a positive, professional customer experience across the development.
• Provide information to the Property Manager on a daily basis.
