Job summary

AVI-SPL Limited is seeking an on-site Cover Technician to provide AV and VC support across client campus sites. You will set up, operate, and maintain AV/VC equipment, assist staff and external clients, and adapt to both small events and auditorium setups.

The role involves backfilling for holidays and sickness, with opportunities for cross-training and working either in a small team or independently on site. Strong customer service and flexibility are essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate Videoconference hardware (Cisco, Webex, Poly etc) and troubleshoot issues such as audio feedback or no video.
• Experience with PA, projection and room control/booking systems (Crestron/AMX).
• Intermediate IT knowledge.
• Maturity under pressure with a focus on customer service across client levels.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with flexibility for last-minute requests.
• Ability to impart knowledge to others and adapt to unfamiliar surroundings.
• Works well in a small team or independently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide AV/VC support across client campus sites as backfill for sick/holiday leave.
• Operate and maintain AV/VC equipment; assist staff and external clients.
• Support end users as requested by the Client.
• Set up and operate PA systems, VC, projection systems, etc., including small events or auditorium setups.
• Cross-train with team members to ensure seamless service delivery.
