Job summary

William College is recruiting a Student Success Tutor to provide targeted academic support and progression guidance. The role focuses on helping students understand expectations, interpret feedback, and develop independent learning skills within a supportive campus environment.

Reporting to the Student Experience Manager, you will monitor data, intervene early for at‑risk students, and deliver tailored development plans across a range of learning activities and workshops.

Qualifications

• Experience providing academic, learning or study skills support to students in higher or further education or equivalent.
• Ability to explain assessment expectations and feedback in plain language and guide students to improve.
• Ability to monitor student progress and maintain records in line with data protection policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one academic support, in person and remotely, guiding students on available resources and how to use them.
• Deliver group workshops and sessions tailored to programme requirements and assessment calendars.
• Support transition into higher education through induction and early weeks.
• Analyse submission and progression data, identify patterns and trigger early interventions.
• Maintain accurate records of interactions, plans and outcomes in line with policy.
• Collaborate with Registry and Wellbeing teams to deliver a coordinated student support system.
