Job summary

Agincare, a not-for-profit Children’s Services Residential Home in York, is seeking an Ofsted Registered Manager to lead and develop the new provision, driving outstanding outcomes for children with learning disabilities.

You will oversee day-to-day operations, support teams of Support Workers and Senior Support Workers, ensure safeguarding, and maintain high standards of care and regulatory compliance from the outset.

Qualifications

• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England) or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in children’s residential care, including 3 years in a managerial role.
• In-depth safeguarding knowledge and Ofsted regulatory awareness.
• Experience planning and implementing care plans with high-quality documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and support teams across the home.
• Oversee day-to-day operations and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Act as corporate parent to children, supporting their day-to-day lives.
• Lead Ofsted home inspections and drive outstanding outcomes.
