Job summary

Agincare is recruiting an Ofsted-registered Manager for a new Children’s Services Residential Home in York. You will lead day-to-day operations, manage Support Workers, and ensure outstanding care for children with learning disabilities and complex needs.

Reporting to senior leadership, you’ll develop the service from the ground up, ensuring compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and safeguarding requirements while driving continuous improvement and high-quality documentation.

Qualifications

• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England) or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in children's residential care, with 3+ years in a managerial role.
• In-depth safeguarding knowledge and Ofsted regulations.
• Experience planning and implementing care plans with high-quality documentation.
• Experience supporting children with learning disabilities and complex behaviours.
• Experience leading Ofsted home inspections.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the new residential home in York, ensuring high-quality care.
• Support teams of Support Workers and Senior Support Workers.
• Act as corporate parent to the children.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and legislation.
• Shape and embed best practice from the outset.
