Job summary

Gattaca is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead end-to-end delivery of medium to large-scale engineering projects in Leeds. You will coordinate engineering, manufacturing, mobilisation, testing, logistics, and offshore support to meet contractual, technical, and commercial objectives.

You will develop plans, manage risks and milestones, control budgets and invoicing, and maintain thorough project documentation, reporting progress and risks to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Proven project management experience in engineering/offshore/manufacturing environments.
• Experience managing complex equipment projects (modification, testing, mobilisation, demobilisation).
• Strong understanding of mechanical handling equipment and project delivery requirements.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications and coordinate execution.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to motivate teams.
• Excellent organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong problem-solving and proactive, solutions-focused approach.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Project.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end delivery of multiple projects with objectives met.
• Develop plans, resources, schedules, and timelines while managing risks and milestones.
• Coordinate engineering, manufacturing, equipment mobilisation, testing, logistics, and offshore support to ensure seamless execution.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
• Manage project budgets, invoicing schedules, and forecasting activities.
• Oversee change control processes and identify variation opportunities to maximise profitability.
• Ensure compliance with contracts, governance, and financial controls.
• Escalate commercial, operational, or project risks where appropriate.
• Maintain project documentation, reporting, technical specifications, and project tracking systems.
• Prepare and manage offshore information packs, procedures, and project records.
• Provide regular project updates and ensure accurate reporting of progress, risks, and performance.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives through project reviews and lessons learned.
• Identify opportunities to improve project execution and efficiency.
