Job description

New Leaf School is seeking to recruit a skilled and enthusiastic Office Administrator.

Position Details
  • Grade 4 SCP 6-11
  • 35 Hours per week, term time only

This is an exciting time to join New Leaf School. It is a fast-paced and energetic environment where staff work together with families to improve the life chances of some of Walsall’s most vulnerable children.

Role Responsibilities

As Office Administrator, along with our receptionist, you will be one of the faces of the school, welcoming staff, visitors, parents/carers, and external agencies. You will set the tone of our school and ensure a warm welcome for everyone at New Leaf.

About the School

New Leaf School is a Key Stage 1, 2, and 3 Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) serving the whole borough of Walsall. Pupils attend following permanent exclusions from mainstream schools and may have social and emotional difficulties impacting their learning. Effective communication with challenging and vulnerable learners and their parents is essential. Our mission is to ensure each young person leaves New Leaf on the right pathway to fulfill their educational and life potential.

Safeguarding and Recruitment

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All staff are expected to share this commitment. Suitability checks will include identity, Right to Work, qualifications, prohibition check, two references, and an enhanced DBS check, in accordance with Keeping Children Safe in Education (2024).
