A growing bike business in Gloucester seeks a full-time office administrator. Responsibilities include book keeping, stock management, and supporting internal systems. Quella is a small, growing bike business based in just south of Gloucester not far from J12 of the M5.
We are a very small team and current turnover is around £750k but the business is growing. The atmosphere is extremely friendly and everyone mucks in as required to keep the business ticking along.
We are looking for an office administrator who will also handle the accounts and book-keeping, the wider role is much more commercial and the right person could grow with the business and become part of the leadership team in years to come.
Jobs will include:
Book keeping using Xero accounts software.
Managing stock control and purchases of our bicycles.
Managing stock control and purchases of our range of accessories.
Purchasing and developing our range of accessories.
Helping to manage and develop various internal system such as bike production / stock control / general best practice.
We don’t expect someone to come in and understand the business straightaway but the right person will want to be involved and be critical to the next stage of the company’s growth. Attitude, ambition and a desire to learn new skills are almost as important as experience for this business, however, the right candidate will need to be:
Organised and self-motivated.
Have excellent knowledge of Excel
Understanding of basic accounts and accounting software (Xero is the one we use)
A desire to do much more than accounts in the future and to be a key part of the commercial management team in a small, growing business.
We are totally comfortable with the idea that our candidate may need additional training as the role develops and we can provide this hence a starting salary for a full-time role (depending on experience) of £25k - £30k with a 10% on target bonus. The right candidate can expect this to increase rapidly if we hit our anticipated targets.
