Job summary

Amey Ltd in Pontypridd is inviting applications for a Permanent Off-Track Operative to join the AIW (IM) account within the CVL area. The role is site-based with a 40-hour week, involving on-call work and occasional weekends/nights to support rail infrastructure maintenance.

You will inspect, maintain and repair land alongside the track, performing vegetation management, drainage, boundary upkeep and general infrastructure tasks to keep the network safe and efficient.

Qualifications

• NVQ 1 (or equivalent) in a relevant subject (e.g. landscaping, arboriculture, civils, drainage).
• Full UK driving license (Cat B).
• PTS - Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out work safely and in line with safe systems of work.
• Undertake trained duties and operate as directed in a safe, efficient manner.
• Check vehicles, plant, tools and materials for fit for use and proper storage.
• Contribute to your own development and adherence to company policies.
