Job summary

Amey in Treforest, Pontypridd, is seeking a Permanent Assistant Buildings & Civils Engineer to support the CVL program. 37.5 hours, hybrid work with a minimum of 2 days in office/site, focusing on inspection, maintenance and project delivery across civil assets.

You will help develop maintenance plans, manage asset data in MAXIMO, and assist with stakeholder coordination to improve safety, reliability, and asset performance. PTS and UK driving licence are preferred.

Qualifications

Degree or HNC/HND in Civil or Structures Engineering.
Railway industry experience in buildings & structures, maintenance or assessment.
Knowledge of Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental procedures.
Proficiency with MS Office (Excel).
PTS and full UK Driving Licence.
Knowledge of Network Rail’s Building & Civils assets.

Responsibilities

Assist the Building & Civils Engineering team with development and implementation of annual maintenance plans.
Produce asset renewal remits and help prioritise work within budget.
Identify and implement safety, performance and efficiency improvements.
Support compliance with management assurance processes and standards.
Develop relationships with stakeholders and suppliers.
Manage and analyze Maximo Asset data.
Coordinate with CAFA for ongoing assessment programmes.
Oversee abnormal load requests with supervision.
