We are currently looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist, who can provide overall support for the clinical leadership of the service. This post is based in Wimbledon, which is easily accessible via public transport.

About the role :

As a Occupational Therapist, you will be working in a specialist adult mental health 41-bedhospital for people with severe and complex mental health conditions. Boasting exceptional facilities, including a therapy suite, gym and enclosed sports area, designated art room, therapy kitchen, multi-faith room, and a beautiful therapy garden. This is a full-time or part-time fixed term role of 9 months with the opportunity to become permanent.

Your main responsibilities as a Occupational Therapist :
  • Devise and deliver individual and group occupational therapy programmes.
  • Contribute to the effective running of MDTs by performing key functions, such as liaising with families, CPAs, minute-taking etc.
  • Assist with the training of care staff and others in the principles of occupational therapy, so that an understanding of occupational therapy underpins the work of the care teams
