A successful and reputable provider of Occupational Hygiene / Health and Safety services in the Yorkshire region are now seeking to take on an Occupational Hygiene Consultant. The successful candidate will have extensive experience working hands on as an Occupational Hygiene Consultant. You will be carrying out various occupational hygiene services including testing of emissions, site assessments, COSHH assessments, noise, fume, dust and hand-arm vibration surveys.

Candidates will have good access to West Yorkshire / M62 and the surrounding areas: Bradford, Bingley, Keighley, Garforth , Wetherby, Ilkley , Otley, Castleford, Pontefract, Wakefield, Huddersfield, Dewsbury, Halifax, Brighouse, Rochdale, Oldham, Middleton, Heywood, Bury, Bolton, Stockport, Altringham, Stretford, Eccles, Warrington, Leigh, Wigan,

Qualifications and Experience

• Experience working hands on as an Occupational Hygiene Consultant for an established Occupational Hygiene / Health and Safety Consultancy.
• Will ideally hold 1-2 BOHS modules relating to occupational hygiene e.g. W201, W501, W502, W503.
• Holding BOHS P600, P601, P602 would be beneficial to the role.
• Excellent communication skills, able to liaise with clients and colleagues of all levels.
• Excellent practical knowledge of relevant Health and Safety guidelines.

The Role

• Carrying out various Occupational Hygiene duties including workplace assessments, air monitoring, COSHH assessments, Noise, Fume, Dust and Hand-arm vibration surveys (HAVS), local exhaust ventilation (LEV) examination, and testing of indoor air quality.
• Conducting emissions testing.
• Attending site to carry out assessments.
• Providing clients with detailed technical reports using information gathered from site.
• Working in line with relevant Health and Safety guidelines.
• Continuing to build and maintain professional relationships with clients on site, providing support and technical advice when required.
• Undertaking training when required to ensure accuracy in technical knowledge.
