Job summary

SEND Inclusion Support in Lancaster is seeking a Nurture Teacher to work with pupils with SEND, including those who may not access mainstream education. You will deliver personalised learning using our Nurture Curriculum, in home, community or online settings, adapting to each learner’s needs.

Ideal candidates hold QTS, have SEND experience, and can build strong relationships while planning individualised learning and reporting progress.

Qualifications

• QTS is required and experience teaching children with SEND.
• Ability to plan individualised learning for diverse learners.
• Understanding autism, SEMH, anxiety or barriers to school attendance.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills are essential.
• Flexible, child-centred teaching approach to engage learners.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver personalised learning using the Nurture Curriculum.
• Deliver engaging sessions to develop literacy, numeracy, and communication.
• Adapt teaching to suit each pupil's interests and needs.
• Monitor progress and complete regular reports.
• Collaborate with families and other professionals to support outcomes.
