Job summary

SEND Inclusion Support are seeking a Nurture Teacher to support a young person in the Stretford area with a flexible, individualised approach to education. The role emphasizes building trust, emotional safety, and meaningful engagement beyond traditional lessons.

You will use the Nurture Curriculum while adapting learning to the young person’s needs, with ongoing SEND Inclusion Support team backing and termly Nurture Teacher Days with other specialists.

Qualifications

• Experience with SEMH, anxiety, EBSA, autism or disengagement from education.
• Ability to build trust and engage a reluctant learner.
• Experience delivering or supporting nurture or specialist programmes.

Responsibilities

• Understand barriers to learning and establish trust.
• Create positive learning experiences and personalise approaches.
• Work outside traditional classroom to support individual learner.”
• Attend SEND Inclusion Support team events and collaborate with specialists.
