Job summary

SEND Inclusion Support is seeking a Nurture Teacher in Rainford to deliver personalised education to a pupil who needs an individual approach to learning.

You will plan and deliver an individualised programme, adapt lessons for SEND, build trusting relationships, and monitor progress with regular reports to families and professionals. Teaching may occur at home, in the community, or online.

Qualifications

• Must hold QTS and have experience teaching pupils with additional needs.
• Able to plan creatively and adapt lessons for individual learners.
• Values trust, consistency and positive relationships with pupils and families.
• Confident working independently while engaging with the wider support network.
• Experience in SEND, SEMH, or one-to-one teaching is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver an individualised learning programme reflecting starting points and goals.
• Create engaging, personalised lessons using the Nurture Curriculum.
• Teach core skills alongside wider learning and adapt for SEND needs.
• Establish routines and realistic goals to encourage engagement.
• Monitor progress and adjust plans; complete regular reports for families and professionals.
• Support pupil progress towards next steps or progression into further learning.
