Nursing Home Manager

Salary: £68,000 - £70,000 per annum

Location: Manchester

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

About the Role

This vacancy is being handled by a recruitment consultancy acting on behalf of our client, a well-established nursing home provider. We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Nursing Home Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our well-established nursing home. This is a fantastic opportunity for a strong clinical and operational leader to deliver outstanding, person-centred care while ensuring full regulatory compliance and high-quality service delivery.

As Nursing Home Manager, you will be responsible for managing staff performance, maintaining excellent care standards, achieving strong CQC outcomes, and fostering a positive, supportive environment for residents, families, and staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strong, visible leadership to the nursing and care teams
• Ensure the home is fully compliant with CQC regulations and company policies
• Maintain high standards of clinical care, safeguarding, and infection control
• Manage and develop staff through supervision, training, and performance reviews
• Oversee recruitment, retention, and rota management
• Manage budgets, occupancy levels, and cost control effectively
• Build positive relationships with residents, families, commissioners, and external professionals
• Lead on audits, inspections, and quality improvement initiatives
• Promote a culture of dignity, respect, and person-centred care

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN) with a valid NMC PIN (essential)
• Proven experience as a Nursing Home Manager or Deputy Manager ready to step up
