Leaders in Care is partnering with a luxury care home based in Blackburn to recruit a Deputy Manager. The role offers a competitive salary of £40,000 per year, plus excellent training and development pathways and a range of benefits.

You will support the Manager to uphold high standards of resident care, mentor staff, ensure robust staffing, and foster positive relationships with healthcare professionals and families. A proven leadership background in elderly residential care is essential.

• Prior experience in a leadership role within an elderly residential setting.

• Supporting the Manager in implementing all policies, procedures, and objectives.
• Ensuring care is always delivered in line with standards set by CQC, Local Authority and other regulatory bodies.
• Mentoring and providing guidance and leadership to the care home staff.
• Ensuring adequate staffing is always maintained within the home.
• Building strong relationships with visiting healthcare professionals, families, and social workers.

Duties in this Deputy Manager role include:

• Supporting the Manager in implementing all policies, procedures, and objectives
• Ensuring care is always delivered in line with the standards set out by the CQC, Local Authority and other relevant regulatory professional bodies.
• Being a great mentor who can provide support, guidance and leadership to the care home staff.
• Ensure adequate staffing is always maintained within the home.
• Build strong relationships with visiting healthcare professionals, families, and social workers.

Criteria to apply:

• Prior experience in a leadership role within an elderly residential setting.
• Good knowledge / use of care systems and governance.
