Job summary

Leaders in Care is assisting an award-winning care home provider based in Blackburn in recruiting a Deputy Manager. You will support the Manager, mentor staff, and uphold high standards of resident care in line with CQC and local authority guidance.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a leadership role within an elderly residential setting.
• Good knowledge / use of care systems and governance.
• A genuine commitment to providing the highest standards of resident care.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the Manager in implementing all policies, procedures, and objectives
• Ensuring care is always delivered in line with the standards set out by the CQC, Local Authority and other relevant regulatory professional bodies.
• Being a great mentor who can provide support, guidance and leadership to the care home staff.
• Ensure adequate staffing is always maintained within the home.
• Build strong relationships with visiting healthcare professionals, families, and social workers.
