This role involves supporting patients with interstitial lung disease (ILD) and their families/carers, under supervision of a registered healthcare professional. You will work within the ILD service supporting patients in various settings, including telephone, outpatient clinics, group settings, and in the community.
You will assist in ensuring patients and carers understand the diagnosis pathway, aid in planning and delivering patient care, and support symptom management and medication side effects. The role may include supporting home visits, face-to-face or telephone clinics, and ambulatory oxygen clinics, with opportunities for professional development.
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic to learn about ILD, with some knowledge of respiratory conditions and their impact on patients and families. You should demonstrate this in your application and meet the person specification requirements.
The team is supportive and committed to staff development, with opportunities to contribute to service improvement.
Working hours: 8 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
