Job summary

Supply Staff Ltd is seeking an experienced Nursery Teaching Assistant to support learning, development and daily routines in nursery settings across Somerset.

You will help create a safe, nurturing environment and assist with SEN support where needed, working with teachers to promote communication and early literacy.

This role offers a reliable daily pay between £95-£110 with a flexible supply pattern; DBS Update Service is preferred or willing to apply.

Qualifications

• Experience in Nursery or Early Years settings.
• Level 2/3 in Early Years or Childcare.
• SEN experience is ideal.
• Understanding of Early Years learning and development.
• DBS via Update Service or willing to apply.

Responsibilities

• Support children with learning, play and creative activities.
• Encourage communication, language development and early learning skills.
• Support children's social interaction, confidence and independence.
• Provide additional support to children with SEN and additional needs where required.
• Help maintain a safe, inclusive and stimulating nursery environment.

Job Title: Nursery Teaching Assistant

Job Type: Full-Time Long Term (5 days a week), Day to Day Supply

Pay Rate: £95 - £110 per day

Job Overview

Supply Staff Ltd is seeking experienced and caring Nursery Teaching Assistants to work across nursery and Early Years settings in Somerset. As a Nursery Teaching Assistant, you will support young children with their learning, development and day to day activities, helping to create a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment. Experience supporting children with SEN would be ideal, although this is not the main focus of the role.

Key Responsibilities

• Support children with learning, play and creative activities.

Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Nursery Teaching Assistant or within a relevant Early Years setting is required.
• A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years, Childcare or an equivalent relevant qualification.
• Experience supporting children with SEN or additional needs would be ideal.
• Good understanding of Early Years learning and child development.
• Caring, patient and enthusiastic approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
• Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
