Job summary

Supply Staff Ltd are seeking experienced Nursery Nurses to work across nurseries and Early Years settings in Somerset. As a Nursery Nurse you will support young children with learning, development and day-to-day care, creating a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment. £95-£110 per day, full-time long term (5 days a week).

Experience with SEN is ideal though not essential. Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willingness to apply is required.

Pay Rate: £95 - £110 per day

Supply Staff Ltd is seeking experienced and caring Nursery Nurses to work across nursery and Early Years settings in Somerset. As a Nursery Nurse, you will support young children with their learning, development and day to day care while helping to create a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment. Experience supporting children with SEN would be ideal, although this is not the main focus of the role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support children with learning, play and development activities.


• Encourage children's communication, confidence, independence and social development.


• Support children's personal, social and emotional development.


• Provide appropriate support to children with SEN and additional needs where required.


• Help maintain a safe, welcoming and stimulating nursery environment.


• Work alongside nursery practitioners, teachers and other staff to support children's development.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working as a Nursery Nurse or within a relevant Early Years setting is required.


• A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years, Childcare or an equivalent relevant qualification.


• Experience supporting children with SEN or additional needs would be ideal.


• Good understanding of children's development and Early Years practice.


• Caring, patient and enthusiastic approach.


• Strong communication and teamwork skills.


• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.


• Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
