Job summary

Supply Staff Ltd is seeking a Primary Teaching Assistant to work across primary schools in Somerset. Join a team supporting EYFS to KS2 learners with day-to-day classroom activities and development. Experience with SEN is desirable but not essential.

Earn reliable daily pay (£95–£110) with a dedicated consultant guiding you through placements. DBS via Update Service or willingness to apply is preferred, with safeguarding commitment essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience with children in school, nursery or childcare settings is desirable.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEN is a plus but not required.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.
• Patient, enthusiastic and adaptable approach requested.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with classroom activities, learning tasks and schoolwork.
• Provide one-to-one and small group support where required.
• Work alongside the class teacher to create a positive learning environment.
• Encourage pupils to develop confidence, independence and positive learning behaviours.

Job Overview

Supply Staff Ltd is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Primary Teaching Assistants to work across primary schools in Somerset. As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 with their learning, development and day to day classroom activities. Experience supporting pupils with SEN would be ideal, although this is not essential.
