Job summary

St George’s Nursery Nottingham is seeking a Nursery Room Leader to support and guide a small team, ensuring the room runs smoothly each day and high standards of care, education and safeguarding are maintained.

You will work closely with the Deputy and Nursery Manager, liaise with families, and help create a positive environment where children and staff thrive. The role is permanent full-time with progression opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Hold a minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent).
  • You must have a good understanding of the EYFS and be capable of maintaining children’s development records.
  • We are committed to safeguarding children, and all posts are subject to an enhanced DBS check and references.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with and support parents, carers and other family members.
  • Support all staff and promote a good staff team.
  • Lead a small team in your room to provide an exceptional level of childcare.
  • Maintained by the nursery management team.
  • Maintain good practice in your room, ensuring that the EYFS is adhered to.
  • Keeping records of children’s progress, routines, and interests.

Nursery Room Leader

Location: Nottingham – Sherwood

Salary: Up to £27,500 per annum

Contract: Permanent Full-time 40 hrs a week Mon-Friday.

As a Nursery Room Leader, you’ll support and guide your team, work closely with the Deputy and Nursery Manager, and help ensure the room runs smoothly each day. You’ll play an important part in maintaining high standards of care, education and safeguarding, while helping to create a positive environment where both children and staff can thrive. Your Role

As Nursery Room lead, you will:

What We’re Looking For

We’d love to hear from you if you:

  • Hold a minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent).
  • You must have a good understanding of the EYFS and be capable of maintaining children’s development records.
  • We are committed to safeguarding children, and all posts are subject to an enhanced DBS check and references.
  • Childcare experience: 3 years+ (Required)
  • Management experience: (Preferred but not essential)
