Storal’s Blossom Tree Nursery School in Portishead is seeking a part-time Early Years practitioner to support children’s development through play-based learning. You’ll plan activities, observe progress, and deliver care aligned with our curriculum.
You will work with a warm team in a nurturing environment, liaising with families and contributing to safe, high-quality childcare in line with EYFS principles.

You’ll plan activities, observe progress and manage personal care for children. Applying the Storal curriculum & our pedagogy principles to our children daily. Whilst seeking out learning opportunities in everyday routines such as mealtimes & transitions. Bonding with your children and their families by engaging in meaningful moments. You’ll also deliver high levels of care and empathy, with an understanding that every opportunity can be a learning opportunity.
You’ll be joining Blossom Tree Nursery team, who have an incredibly important job of supporting children’s development. You’ll be a key part of every child’s journey, keeping our children safe, loved and inspired through play-based learning. Our nurseries are warm and nurturing environments that not only support children to be ready for school but also equip them with all the life skills they need to flourish and succeed.
Storal sets the highest of standards when it coming to safeguarding, the welfare of children and creating a work environment that encourages feedback-discussion-resilience. We take our role in the safety of children, our families and our team extremely seriously. As governed by the EYFS, we have a designated safeguarding lead in each setting and all staff (and volunteers) complete a through compliance checks prior to employment including employment references & DBS.
