Job summary

Storal’s Blossom Tree Nursery in Portishead is seeking a part-time Early Years Assistant to support children with the Storal curriculum in a warm, play-based setting.

You will plan activities, observe progress and provide high levels of care, while engaging families to enrich the learning journey. Competitive salary and family-friendly benefits accompany a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Early Years qualification Level 2+ or higher or relevant experience in early years.
• Experience working with all age groups within Early Years settings.
• Knowledge of the EYFS framework is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Plan activities and observe progress for children.
• Apply the Storal curriculum and pedagogy daily.
• Support personal care and routines during transitions and meals.
• Engage with families to build trust and learning opportunities.

Education

Early Years qualification Level 2+ or relevant experience

Experience with all age groups in Early Years

Knowledge of EYFS framework

Location: Blossom Tree Nursery School, 13 Stoke Rd, Portishead, Bristol, BS20 6BQ

Hours: Part Time, Monday to Friday, 15 hours per week, 11am - 2pm

How You’ll Spend Your Time Here

You’ll plan activities, observe progress and manage personal care for children. Applying the Storal curriculum & our pedagogy principles to our children daily. Whilst seeking out learning opportunities in everyday routines such as mealtimes & transitions. Bonding with your children and their families by engaging in meaningful moments. You’ll also deliver high levels of care and empathy, with an understanding that every opportunity can be a learning opportunity.

We’d love to talk to you if you have the following

• An Early Years qualification at Level 2 or above or relevant experience working in early years
• Experience of working with all age groups within Early Years settings
• Knowledge of the EYFS framework would be advantageous
