Job summary

Storal is seeking a Nursery Practitioner to work across multiple nurseries in the Winchester area. You will cover day-to-day needs and support nursery managers, with flexibility in scheduling and travel between sites.

Ideal candidates have an Early Years Level 3 qualification, experience across age groups in EY settings, and a willingness to travel. Driving licence and access to a car are preferred. We value engagement with children and families in a nurturing environment.

Qualifications

• An Early Years qualification at Level 3.
• Experience of working with all age groups within Early Years settings.
• Knowledge of the EYFS framework would be advantageous.
• Have a full clean UK driving licence and access to a car.
• Be willing to travel within the Winchester area.

• In this role, you will work closely with Mandy and the Nursery Managers to provide day-to-day cover and support where it is needed most. Flexibility is key, as your schedule may vary week to week.
• You’ll plan activities, observe progress and manage personal care for children. Applying the Storal curriculum & our pedagogy principles to our children daily.
• While seeking out learning opportunities in everyday routines such as mealtimes & transitions. Bonding with your children and their families by engaging in meaningful moments.

In this role you’ll work across multiple Nurseries, gaining knowledge and experience in each setting, to further develop your childcare career.

The Team

You’ll be joining Mandy’s team of area support Nursery Practitioners, Mandy has 35 years of experience in childcare having working in several roles including Nursery Manager and Area Manager.

Our Nursery Support Team is in the North East and will cover the following nurseries, Archway Nursery (DT11 8TX), Barney Lodge Nursery (BA12 0AN), Blossom Tree Nursery (BS20 6BQ) and Treehouse Nursery (BS7 0XY). We have a wide variety of remarkable nurseries where our experienced and passionate team brings a wealth of early years expertise. We know that every child is unique, with their own story to tell, so we tailor our approach to suit each child’s pace, personality, and interests ensuring they feel supported, seen, and celebrated.
