Job summary

Nala Recruitment are working with a welcoming nursery in Sudbury to recruit a Nursery Practitioner to join their team. You will provide high-quality care and education, support children’s learning through engaging activities, and build strong relationships with children, families and colleagues.

This permanent, full-time role offers a competitive salary up to £13.55 per hour, a 40‑hour week, ASAP start and a supportive environment that values safeguarding and inclusive practice.

Qualifications

• A relevant Early Years qualification such as Level 2 or Level 3 is required.
• Experience in a nursery or Early Years setting is beneficial.

Responsibilities

The Role

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play an important role in providing high-quality care and education for children, supporting their development through engaging activities and positive interactions.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing a safe, caring and stimulating environment for children
• Supporting children's learning and development through age-appropriate activities
• Building positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues
• Supporting the planning and delivery of engaging activities based around children's interests and development
• Observing and recording children's progress and contributing to their individual learning journeys
• Ensuring children's health, safety and wellbeing are maintained at all times
• Supporting children with their personal care needs where required
• Working effectively as part of a wider nursery team
• Following the nursery's policies, procedures and safeguarding requirements
• Creating an inclusive environment where every child feels valued and supported
